You Don't Need a One Trick Pony

In my Home Page Gallery, I stated that no guitar can be totally machine made. Further, it follows that the more handmade an instrument is, the more it should reflect the player that will call it their own.

I've priced specific instruments on the gallery pages to convey a sense of potential range.  The exact cost of materials can have a profound impact on price.  I've built instruments that have had investments of $1000.00 in the wood ALONE, others only about $120.00.  Pickups can cost from around $100 for a damn good set, to $500+ for a freakin' awesome set.

What's consistent throughout, is my attention to quality work.  My necks and setups rival the best available anywhere.  Use the contact page to get in touch.  I'm here for you.

Each PH guitar is hand built by one person, from scratch. As such, each represents a combination of woods, components, and geometry to form a physical embodiment of a particular player's concept of what looks and sounds good.

Wood as a raw material, at builder's cost, can be around two hundred dollars (the Blue Wave), or possibly beyond one thousand dollars (the Big Red archtop). Regardless of the cost, good wood makes a good guitar. I select the tone wood for each instrument for a premium sonic and visual potential. Component costs will equally affect an individual instrument's cost as a material or its complexity to work with or install.

IN GENERAL, prices can range from around $1300.00 to $5500.00 for instruments as shown on these pages. "Parts-casters" may be under a grand depending on component sources and detailing.

Guitar cases are supplied through various third parties, and would be warranted by the respective manufacturer.

I warranty all work performed by me to the buyer for the parts and workmanship. Please see the next page for my full Warranty Statement.

Please use the CONTACT page to begin a dialogue about what youwant to be playing and how I can put that instrument in your hands.
